Grinchie is a Yellow Naped Amazon Parrot. Did you know Yellow Naped Amazons are often considered one of the smartest species of parrot in the world? They can learn a very impressive number of words, phrases, and even songs and learn to mimic them with incredible precision.
Grinchie hatched on May 27th, 2023.
Contrary to his name, Grinchie is not much of a Grinch. He is a spunky little guy who loves carrying toys around in his feet. He is super smart and was already picking up all sorts of words and phrases at only a couple of months old!
He can be a bit of a picky eater but is generally a sucker for sunflower seeds, safflower seeds, pistachios, and some fresh fruits!
He loves flying – and is quite good at it! He can pinpoint any location in his home and land with amazing accuracy. He will even land on your hand if you hold it up for him!
